The Sister Bay Historical Society will host a viewing of the new documentary, “Through Fire A Community: The History of the Sister Bay-Liberty Grove Fire Department.” Initiated by late fire chief Chris Hecht five years ago, the project was launched to honor those who built the community fire departments across the peninsula. The video traces the SBLG department’s history from the 1912 fire that gutted the heart of Sister Bay to the modern evolution of the department – honoring the people who built the department, as well as the families and neighbors who stood behind them every step of the way.
