FUN ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN

In 1865, a few early settlers of Sister Bay banded together to make plans for the first area school.  Money was scarce, and one of the first three Board members could not read or write himself, but these pioneers knew that their children – and their children’s education – were critical to the future.

That original schoolhouse, completed in 1866, is now serving as one of the sites for Sister Bay Historical Society children’s programs.  And like the early settlers, we are guided by a belief that working with our children will provide the foundation for our future.
