Heritage Program – Artist: Tom Seagard & Brigitte Kozma
September 17 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sister Bay Historical Society is again sponsoring the Heritage Program during the summer of 2022. Each Saturday beginning June 25 artists display their work. The Programs run Saturday morning during the Farmers Market at the Corner of The Past Museum. So, it is an opportunity to buy fresh produce and enjoy an artist’s work.
September 17 will feature Tom Seagard, Brigitte Kozma, – mixed media, oils & pastels.
He will display and demonstrate his artwork, as well as display that of his wife Brigitte Kozma. Both have been Sister Bay Artists for the past 46 years at their Mill Road Gallery in downtown Sister Bay.
Seagard is well known for his wildlife images as well as historic scenes of Sister Bay. His work is done in mixed media, some of it unusual, such as instant coffee, kid’s tempera paint, food coloring, and more traditional pencils, watercolor, and as Tom says: “ Anything else he thinks will leave a mark when used.”
It’s amazing what he can create with these unusual media. Subjects include all types and kinds of wildlife, trains, hobos, tractors, Native American portraits, and scenes of Old Sister Bay starting from 100 years ago.
