Sister Bay Historical Society is again sponsoring the Heritage Program during the summer of 2022. Each Saturday beginning June 25 artists display their work. The Programs run Saturday morning during the Farmers Market at the Corner of The Past Museum. So, it is an opportunity to buy fresh produce and enjoy an artist’s work.                            

September 3 will feature Lloyd Michalsen – Weaving Artist.

Lloyd Michalsen started weaving at the age of 70 to find a winter project. Working with yarn he makes cloth of soft material. He says his style of weaving is simple, but some wouldn’t agree his intricate, colorful style is simple. He gives the cloth to friends who use it to make scarfs, hats, table runners, small blankets, a vest, and the like.

He will bring a small, four shuttle table loom and you can try your hand at weaving.
